My name is Shannon and I teach at a small public high school in Oakland, California. I have been a teacher in Oakland for 23 years, and I am a professional dilettante: I have taught Kindergarten through 11th grade, as well as graduate students and new teachers.

I currently teach humanities and advise students in twice weekly internships, as well as work with our staff on teacher inquiry and research.

While I became a teacher because of a commitment to smashing global patriarchal white supremacist capitalist exploitation, I stay in it because it is really, really fun.
